Gwen Gerryts is a registered physiotherapist and co-owner of Coast Physiotherapy Sechelt on the Sunshine Coast. She holds a Master of Physical Therapy and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of British Columbia, and has completed extensive post-graduate training in orthopaedics, as well as shoulder and spinal care and functional movement.
Gwen is passionate about helping people stay active and return to the activities they love—whether that’s gardening, hiking local trails, or simply moving with more ease day to day. Her clinical approach focuses on building strength, mobility, and resilience through a combination of hands-on treatment, exercise, and practical education.
In her talk, Smart Movement Strategies for Gardeners: Preventing Injury and Staying Strong, Gwen will share simple, effective strategies to help reduce strain, prevent injury, and support longevity in the garden.
Gwen moved to the Sunshine Coast in 2016 and lives in Bonniebrook with her husband, young daughter, and two dogs. She is currently returning to work following maternity leave and, outside the clinic, enjoys boating, fishing, hiking, and continuing to develop her own gardening skills.
