There are gardening practices steeped in tradition that aren't backed by science or have been disproven with new research. Allison Forbes, who is both a researcher and experienced gardener will explain the science behind some of these myths in simple terms and why they shouldn't be followed.

Our monthly general meetings feature invited speakers who present on a number of gardening topics. Meetings are open to members free of charge and to the public for a $5 fee. We meet every third Wednesday of the month at 7pm at Harmony Hall (686 Harmony Lane) in Gibsons.
If you plan to attend a regular meeting of the club please wear your membership card (if you are a member), bring your own cup for refreshment break, do not wear any scents and consider bringing something garden related for the share table.
